Dissertation Rambles

    <lj:music>Shakiiraaa in my head</lj:music>

Over the past three months I've been slowly researching for my dissertation, although most of the time it doesn't actually feel like research. I suppose it helps that I'm deeply interested in my subject and want to devour as much information about it as I possibly can. I know that I'm going to be doing far too much research - it's only ten thousand words - but everything is so interesting that I can't stop!

It's really strange, though. When asked to think about my dissertation, I immediately wanted to do something female-based in the eighteenth century. However, that would be far too easy: there's so much information and research on this topic that it would feel as though I'd not have to do any work. So I chose the Dandy, probably because I was reading a Heyer at the time that involved a dandy-esque main character.

I love the dandy. I really do. I love how mysterious he is, how slippery he is. I love how bisexual he is. I love reading recollections of Byron confessing to curling his hair at night, rumours of Brummell spending the entire morning working on his costume, the silly caricatures of the dandies that cropped up. I love later readings of the dandy by d’Aurevilly who wrote an entire book about the philosophical creature hiding behind the made up clothes-horse. I love the fact that Brummell spent as much time on his costume as a female and yet was considered to be the foundation of the traditional Victorian gentleman because he was so cold hearted. I think he is the most interesting character of the eighteenth century and it's going to be really interesting looking at how he's represented in Jane Austen and Heyer's novels.

Of course, I'm going to make everyone I know read it when I'm done. It won't be the most amazing dissertation you'll have ever read, but hopefully it'll be a bit of fun!

In other news, I'm discovering a passion for cooking again. I really really really like baking (I made a splended apple pie last night!) and I want to learn how to cook savoury foods as well. It's a lot more fun when there are other people cooking with you though, or if you have lots of people to cook for. Dinner parties at my house anyone? ♥

A picture post will be coming soon: I spent the last week in Chester with jezzifishie and calnen and it was absolutely wonderful. We went to Wales for the day and visited an amazing castle with lots of tall towers! We also made a lot of delicious meals: apple pie (Lucy taught me how to make them), roast beef, beef sammiches and beef stew! It was really nice spending time with them and being introduced to a new place. Chester is also home to a Hello Kitty shop so I imagine I'll be going back quite a lot!

Term starts in a couple of weeks, thank goodness. I'm actually really excited about starting university again - I'll finally have something to do!

P.S. For anyone who hasn't heard Shakira's old music, do so now. She used to sound like Pink!

I'm sure there will be plenty of photos uploaded from the other members, however.

It was a good holiday and it would be cool to do something similar again next year. Some of the highlights of this holiday were:

♥ calnen getting called a girl by some kids for singing Smoke on the Water. Uh, yeah.
♥ Singing Jerusalem at the top of our voices down a dark tunnel.
♥ Getting drunk and being excessively silly, mostly accompanied by Jez.
♥ Speaking to people I haven't spoken to for two years.

Naturally there were more, but my brain isn't working too well at the moment. However, I think I've begun to stop swaying which is promising. Hooray for sea legs!

P.S. I've decided to bring Animal Crossing to life and send people random presents! Hoho!
P.P.S. I made a cool friends only banner, featuring a lot of you making silly faces!

Pride and Prejudice

First of all, I appreciate that it was a film rather than a series, and so obviously they didn't have nearly enough time to cram everything in. However, to a person who has neither read the book or seen the series, it would have confused the fuck out of them.

Now to rip the film to shreds!

+ The house the Bennet's were living in was awful and wrong. They lived in a vicarage, not a medieval cottage with pigs running around the place. It suggested that they were very poor, where in fact they were middle class.

+ All the girls were really artificial. At least the 1995 girls had character.

+ Mrs Bennet was awful. She wasn't funny and the way she said her lines was appalling. She has nothing on Alison Steadman, who hits Mrs Bennet off perfectly.

+ Bingley (the idiot on the right) was one of the worst characters. While he isn't as intelligent as Darcy or Lizzy, he is not a moron. He's very sweet and very nice and is, above all else, a gentleman. In the film he's a coxcomb. His hair is all over the place - something that a young wealthy gentleman would take not to appear, especially with a sister like Caroline.

+ Bingley's other sister and her husband were missing. Bad move. The two sisters - the two wicked sisters! - do each other credit in convincing the audience that they're wankers. Caroline on her own just seems very petty.

+ When Darcy and Bingley enter the ballroom, everyone stops dancing and stares at them! Then they make a gangway so the trio can walk through! What? That would never happen in Jane Austen's time. The people watching the dance may have stared at the latecomers (very rude of them to turn up so late) but they would not have broken up the dance.

+ The fashions were terrible! There was a mismatch of the Macaroni fashion and the Dandy fashions. I would expect the older generation to favour the older fashion - such as wearing wigs, or having hair tied back, but in general the younger generation would have had shorter hair and would have worn the latest fashion (just because they're in Hertfordshire doesn't mean they have no idea about the latest fashions!).

+ Bingley strolled into the bedroom Jane was occupying when she was ill. She was wearing nothing but her underwear. Ha.

+ At Bingley's ball, Caroline was wearing her underwear. That's all I can describe it as. Underwear. What sort of respectable person would go to a ball in her underwear? She would have worn an elegant dress that not only showed off her figure but would also display to everyone else how rich she was - she would have worn the finest silks etc etc. I was shocked!

+ Darcy's appearance throughout the film was awful, and not just because he wasn't Colin Firth. Darcy is always dressed perfectly. Despite his manners, his appearance proclaims the gentleman. He would not go out with his hair hanging all over his face looking like an idiot. This Darcy looked like a lost puppy throughout the film - even when he does show emotion (he raises his voice at Lizzy! oh no!) it's not very convincing. When he tells Lizzy that he loves her I wanted to laugh - nothing about him suggested it in the very least!

+ Mr Bennet wasn't very good. In the film it was obvious that Mr and Mrs Bennet had something going on - there's a part where Mr Bennet is sitting next to his wife in bed and is about to kiss her, only the camera pans away. Mr and Mrs Bennet despise each other! Even Jane says that one of the reasons why she wants to marry for love is because of the example set by her parents. They're almost a big happy family in this version!

+ The younger sisters were boring. Lyddy wasn't outrageous and her relationship with Wickham wasn't apparant at all. She was very unconvincing. I couldn't tell Kitty and Lydia apart because they looked the same.

+ All the family listened in on the conversations, even Jane and Mr Bennet. This was supposed to be the funny part of the plot. Haha.

+ Wickham was crap. He wasn't charming, he wasn't elegant, he wasn't graceful. He didn't seem as though he was a kicked puppy. He just looked stupid, as you can see.

+ Jane was a nightmare. She didn't convince me that she was a nice friendly girl who couldn't think bad of anyone. She was just a pretty face. I think they must've chosen her for the blonde hair. Oh, and the fact that she and the producer 'hooked up'.

+ Mr Collins wasn't just a bad character, but the person who played him was probably picked out from the street. He couldn't act! His eyes were darting all over the place and he didn't appear to be a very silly person. He was just boring.

+ Sorry, Lizzy, I thought you were in Derbyshire, not Scotland? Oh, right! I forgot! We have to make Derbsyhire look as beautiful and wild as possible. The one in the 1995 version is much more convincing because it's much more realistic.

+ Would the housekeeper really let people wonder aimlessly around her master's house if she knew he was in? Hmmm...

+ Lady Catherine paid a visit to the Bennet's in the middle of the night. Yes, she was outraged, yes she wanted to do everything in her power to upset Lizzy's supposed engagement to Darcy, but she was still a 'snobby aristocrat' as someone has described her and she would never ever forget her manners. She would not go to someone's house in the middle of the night. She just wouldn't do it. She would pay her a visit during the day. This part was outrageous and I'm shocked that they actually put it in.

+ Would the housemaids really be skipping around the place and singing when everyone was supposed to be in bed? They'd get sacked!

+ Would Darcy really stride out to meet Lizzy in his pyjamas? Would she meet him in a field just so she could snog the pants off him? Hmm!

+ The person who directed it thinks in puppet terms (I wonder if he's seen Being John Malkovich?) and, here I quote, "I really like the way the Bennets live in a house surrounded by a moat. It's like five virgins living on an island." Yeah, whatever.

+ It's good in a 21st Century way i.e. the people know fuck all about the period they're supposed to be putting forward. If they wanted it to appeal to idiots who don't seem to understand that this was set in a different period then they should have modernised it.

EDITED:

+ As alkhoon pointed out, the bit on the terrace is fucking trashy. That's all I can say. Romantic? I think not! Like she'd ever meet him so openly! How on earth did he know where she was?

+ He kept barging into the cottage, and at one point late at night. Why did he just barge in? Why didn't the housekeeper announce him?

+ When Lizzy was dancing with both Mr Collins and Darcy, why on earth did they stop halfway through and argue at each other? Did they not realise that to break up the ENTIRE DANCE (which is what they would have done if they had just stopped!) was one of the rudest things they could possibly do? Even if you despised your partner, you had to keep on dancing until the end! Then you could stand around and shout at each other! Arrrrgh!

Well, that was a little longer than I anticipated. I do like some things! Honest!

    <lj:music>Savage Messiah - Arch Enemy</lj:music>

Thank you, Hannah, for the party - it rocked the socks.

On Saturday night I went to the Charman's house and watched Grosse Point Blank (I think that's how you spell it?) It's a funny film and the main characters were hot, which is always a good thing. Sunday was spent in Ware at the rock festival in the priory. The bands were okay, but really only served as background music for us. Lots of smut was written - I wrote Willow/Vampire Willow smut, Nick wrote Ed/Percy Weasley smut and Adam wrote Ed/Oliver Wood smut. I have some strange friends.

So yesterday/today was Hannah's party. There were lots of scary people from Croydon, most of whom were sitting in the kitchen getting stoned. I pestered a couple of people, but other than that I just hid and annoyed Fiona all night. I had the chance to talk to an extremely drunk Alena which was really great because I've not had a chance to actually sit down and talk to her. I'd also like to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY! to the said person because it was her birthday yesterday. Myself, Rachel, Alena and Bex sat around outside at around midnight and had our first "bisexual mother's meeting with coffee" meeting. We're going to meet up everynight and talk about...well, I'm not entirely sure what we do talk about, but we talk nonetheless. I would like to point out that Rachel and I didn't touch a drop of alcohol last night! Getting drunk isn't all that great anymore, plus I have to work today - <sarcasm>yay</sarcasm>.

The one thing missing from Hannah's party was Tom. I also now appreciate how hard it is to get to sleep when two people are lying next to you/squishing you while smooching very loudly. Needless to say, no sleep was had.

I'm sorry if this entry has made no sense to anyone whatsoever. I've only just woken up and am feeling very weird(!) But now I shall have a bath, get changed, then walk to work. Oh, the fun! The excitement!

Sacha.

First of all I'd like to apologise to Chris and B for randomly poofing this morning - my computer crashed then my mother wanted to go to bed. Secondly I'd like to apologise for my previous post and I <s>want you all to ignore it</s> am going to delete it after I've finished updating this.

Yesterday afternoon was horrible. My mother and I got into a fight which left us both in tears, then my dad interrupted and said it was all my fault that mum got so upset all the time. So, after tidying up my room, I went for a very long walk in the rain. No doubt I looked the picture of beauty and elegance, but at the time I didn't really care. I bought a new sketchbook, though, and a pencil, pen and rubber to go with it. Am thinking of filling it up with sketches then giving it to someone.

Speaking of, Tom has gone away with Chris to Cornwall for two weeks. I asked him for a tee-shirt to borrow while he was away, and he lent me his monkey one which I haven't taken off since yesterday. In addition to this, he also lent me several CDs which shall be copied soon. I'm missing him already.

I suppose that's it, really. I would like to emphasise the fact that I'm working this afternoon and someone should definately come and see me.
If you haven't already watched it, do not put yourself through the torture of watching A Knight's Tale. I was halfway through watching it and my fingers were itching to get hold of a very sharp kitchen utensil and killing myself horribly.

First of all they got the costumes completely wrong. The time setting, I assume, is around 1300 - 1400, quite possibly nearing the 1500s, although if that were the case then Chaucer would have to be a zombie. I've been to a place where the dress up and role-play people from a Tudor timeline and nowhere could I see the women wearing a Victorian-style dress and hat. They also wouldn't have the women as bold as they are in the stupid film and they most certainly wouldn't laugh when in Church or mock the Bishop. If that had really happened, then they would have been completely disgraced and regarded as nothing more than a prostitute, regardless of status.

That was the first thing that got to me. The second thing was the stupid, stupid, stupid romance scenes. I will admit that I read a great deal of romance novels and have lots of ideas about the 'ideal romance' but that doesn't involve corny lines and the guy falling in love with the girl just because she happens to be stunningly beautiful. I mean, the main character claims he's in love with this chick even though he doesn't know her name! He says in a dreamy voice that her name is Aphrodite and her lips are Venus - GAY!

I switched it off after that because I couldn't bear to see any more of it. Please can someone lend me a decent film to watch? Sigh!

I forgot to mention on my other post that last night/morning I managed to convince my mother to make an account for Shards. Role-playing with her when she's slightly tipsy is so funny - her character, Ink, is this cold and ruthless black mage who grants no favours to anyone. She's sarcastic, witty and horrible. We clicked on this random guys profile and after reading it, my mum just burst out into laughter and decided to humour the poor guy with her character. Unfortunatly, Shards is being GAY and won't let us get into her account, so I've given her one of mine. Still, it'll be interesting to see what happens if she gets addicted to it...

I hope I can go to the Mansfields house tonight. Jen and David are spending the night and I'm not sure whether I'll be able to get home or not, because my dad will want to get drunk with David. Still, I'm sure I can work something out, even if I have to get the bus home or something.

Still bored and have absolutely nothing to watch. Someone come and entertain me. Please? I'll pay good money...

    <lj:music>Kryptonite - Three Doors Down</lj:music>

I'm bored, damp and waiting for this afternoon to eventually roll around.

On Wednesday, as mentioned before, I went to Portsmouth University with Rachel. The University itself is lovely and the course is just pure sex. I now think I want to do English Lit' rather than creative writing, but I've got an extra year to decide on what I want to do. I have mixed feelings about staying on after year thirteen - it'll give me a chance to (hopefully) gain a little more confidence, I'll be able to get decent grades to actually get into University and it'll be almost like a gap year but school. The down side is that all my friends are going off to University at the end Sixth Form and I'll probably not see them very often. School will be incredibly lonely because I don't think the few 'friends' I have in the year below me like me enough to let me 'hang out' with them. Still, that's another matter entirely and I've gone off subject!

I didn't really like the actual Portsmouth town. There's just something about it that screams armpit and from what I've heard living by the seaside 24/7 is horrible. Plus it would appear that the only source of entertainment to be had involves lots of swimming, pubs and nightclubs. While going to the pub occasionally with friends is nice, doing it everynight would get incredibly boring. Nightclubs scare me and I'd rather swallow glass than go swimming. Plus the notion of having big, scary drunk sailors milling around at 2AM scares me, as does the fact that there will be lotsandlotsandlotsandlots of water.

We went on a little tour guide around the town on some coaches the University had organised for us, although I had to go on my own because Rachel was looking at Marine Biology and I was looking at English. On the tour I saw the spot where the Duke of Buckingham (I think?) was shot and lots of World War statues/tributes. I also got waved to by a very cute little boy who was staring out of the window of his house and our bus happened to be caught up by traffic lights right outside. I waved back to him and grinned. I think that was the only person who actually acknowledged my existance on the whole entire trip (apart from Rachel and her dad, of course) but that was okay.

On the car trip there, I started writing a random story about how Yuffie (my Shards character) met Kunoichi (Rachel's Shards character) and in the end it turned into a role-play session only on paper. It was fun and weird because it was internet role-playing only offline! I also began a random Shards-Yuffie story, but only wrote a page or so of it.

Yesterday was fun! I texted the rather hungover Fiona and demanded her presence be made in Hartham with the rest of us (Tom, Rachel, Chris, Stacey, Adam and Nick). Tom, Chris and Stacey all went swimming, so Rachel, Fiona and I decided to wander into Hertford and get something to eat while they boys were trying to drown themselves. I also dragged Fi and Rae into various shoe shops to try and find some cheap boots, but alas I couldn't find any! I also dragged them into Claire's where I bought purple and black striped tights and a really nice velvet purse with a cross on it. After that, we headed back to the swimming pool and watched the boys dive a bit but then got bored and sat outside in the foyer, waiting for the twins to turn up. When they eventually got off the train, we went over to our tree and set up camp there. We also met Nick and Magz and forced them to come sit with us instead of being a romantic couple by themselves. After a while, everyone who wasn't myself, Fiona or Nick decided they were hungry and went off to get food for an hour and a half! Despite this ANNOYANCE, we found ways to amuse ourselves. This involved: kinky whipping using a towel, lesbian sex, hair sex, hyper sex, pro plus flavoured ice cream, death, horses and paedophiles. I died of old age with a hard-on in the shape of a brush when the other people came back. It's amazing what one can achieve with a cloak and a pair of wet swimming trunks...

The remaining hours of the afternoon were spent annoying people, especially Tom, and being hyper. Then we went to Jen's house in the evening and had a barbeque. Tom and I were being rather anti-social, but I don't think anyone minded much. Besides, I won't be able to snuggle with him for a whole two weeks, so methinks I'm allowed to be selfish and claim him for a couple of hours!

Today I'm <s>planning on meeting up with my random MSN friend, Daniel. When informing my brother this on the way to Mazz's house, he told me not to be stupid and meet up with someone I met on the internet, but I think he's just being a paranoid little sibling. I'm going to show Daniel where Gamesmart lives and he's going to get guitar strings! I also plan on buying more tights and, if I have enough money, buy some Love Hina models, too.</s> going to sit inside with my blanket and tea and watch Buffy/random films or play on the PS.

I'm going to end this entry for now, but I'm planning on ranting about a certain person later on. Don't worry, I'll LJ-cut it so people don't have to read it and cringe - especially you.

Have fun, my little ferrets!

Sacha.

I'm going to wear my cloak today! I wonder how many people will remark on it? I wonder if I'll get beaten up? Ah, I love living here! It's so much fun.

I had a strange dream last night. First of all I dreamt that my mother had bought some tropical fish along with a fishbowl from Bowmans (a reallyreallyreally cheap store in Hoddesdon for those who don't know). She put all the fish into the tank and they were swimming about happily, although I pointed out that we didn't have pink gravel like Jez. I turned around and suddenly I was yanked backwards by this tentacle (hentai, anyone?)which had crawled out of the tank and after I screamed at my mother to help me, she just said, "Oh, yes, you have to be careful about those creatures - you could choke on a leaf." After I'd distangled myself from the tentacle-creature, I looked around and the fish were all dead and rotting because my mum had gotten a cheap fishbowl and forgotten to buy a heat for the fish. It was gross!

Then I went on to dream something about walking along this stone ornament by a lake/river and being really pissed off with Dylan because he had accused me of doing something, although I can't remember what. He was sitting down near Tom who, when I tried to sit down next to him and cuddle/kiss him, fell into the river on purpose - to get away from me? I don't know.

I dream the weirdest things, man.

Now I am off to Hartham to annoy people! Muwahahaha!

*Zooms off.*

Sacha!

Bloody hell.

Please remind me never to do a full days work at Superdrug again. I'm SO tired!

But even though I'm exhausted, smelly and exceedingly sweaty, today did have it's good points. Instead of spending my hour lunch back stuck in the staffroom with only my baby (PS1) and Grandia for company, I stalked Thai and B-chan! 'twas nice seeing the pair again, although I think I scared them a little because I was a tiny bit hyper...

I also had fun harrasing Chris and Thai after work at Lloyds! I kept pretending to be Nick (if I bit your kneecaps, I was too drunk to remember) and I think they're really scared of me now. In addition to this, I bought cheap pink stuff/crap! I also got a 30P discount off the whole thing because Thai served me. I like having friends in higher places, heh heh heh.

Going to bed early tonight will probably be ideal although I doubt I actually will go at a sensible time. Tomorrow I'm going to Portsmouth with Rachel at an unGodly time in the morning (7 AM!!) and looking around the University. It should be very groovy and we're going to listen to Placebo on the way there (!!)

I miss Tom. :(

Sacha.

Despite having a horrible tendency of stuttering and tripping over his words, Prufrock felt strangely at ease with the young-looking pixie - perhaps because she was so short, not unlike her player at all. Whatever the cause was, that was the reason why he explained to her his unique and terrible nervousness and fear around women and sometimes, he admitted, around men.

Terry Mushi - "Hmm..hmm.." Terry thought to himself, ~boy, I need a drink..ANYTHING will do..~ Terry banged on the table and told some passing person to get him ANYTHING to drink. Even though the perosn probably didn't work here, Terry still insisted he bring him the drink.

Kunoichi - "Kunoichi." She replied to Alfred, she smiled at him gently, "Understandable, women like that i'm sure can be quite..well over-bearing."

J. Alfred Prufrock - Alfred blinked, staring over at the man who had started banging on the table as if he were some gorilla. Wait. Was that a man or a woman? From Terry's behaviour, Prufrock determined that he was a man but taking a further peek at the strange beings feminine features, he wasn't altogether sure of its gender.

Kunoichi (OOC) - Maybe Alfred is so at home with a short person is because his player herself is about as short as Ku. =p hehe. It took me over an hour to do something which would have taken five minutes if the bloody game guide had been more coherent! Yes, my mother bought me the game guide because I got stuck in it. It's a really simple RPG and the fighting is easy, but the navigation and jumping is Jack's moaning whore. I keep having to ask my brother to do all the jumping and swinging for me - I'm an RPGist, damnit, not some bloody IthinkdisneycharactersarefantasticandloveplayingstupidgameslikecrashbandicootwhereIwasteagoodfortyquidsoIcancompleteafewcrappylevelsandtheoverallgameplayisaboutfivefuckinghours!

Today in Woolworths I went into the toys section to see if they had a mini-model of Snape. While poking around, I looked up and saw a 'Manga Spiderman' and squeaked. At last, I can buy manga in places not London! Of course, on further inspection it wasn't actually a manga Spiderman - it was a chibi model of him. Even though I'm probably being very fussy, I got annoyed. Manga is a completely different thing! Manga means 'comic' not bloody super-deformed! I wish the human race wasn't so very stupid.

I got told on Halsoft that after playing a joke on an old friend OVER a year and a half ago I was still tainted and a horrible person. This is the second person who's informed me that I'm a bitch/cow/tainted/slut/whore/whatever online - both mostly picking up points about my past. Someone told me that I was a sarcastic bitch from what he observed. Is that true? I don't think I'm all that sarcastic and even when I try to be it doesn't really come out very well. Does that mean I come across as a bitch? Bah, I don't know or care! If people don't like my personality (even though I don't have much of one) then they can go screw themselves.

Tomorrow I'm working the whole day. Please feel free to come visit me whenever you like and relieve me of talking to stupid people. Please, please, please come and visit me. Please?

I believe that is all. No doubt I'll update yet again if I get bored enough.

Sacha.

It's so nice knowing that my little brother is still in school when I'm free as a bird. Rubbing it in his face was wonderful and I will never forget the experience.

This weekend was good, although I got a little drunk on Saturday. On Friday I went to Tom and Rachel's house for the afternoon/evening and we watched The Labyrinth. I love that film and David Bowie is undeniably attractive. It's a shame that Sarah went back to the real world at the end! It would have been so much more romantic for her to have fallen in love with the Goblin King and marry him in the end. After watching The Labyrinth all three of us went online and mucked about 'til dinner - a very yummy salad with tomatoes. Then we went into Hertford - or more specifially Hartham - and were, well, us for the evening.

Saturday was spent working in the day which was very boring and I felt like slitting my wrists (!) several times during the time spent in the evil shop of doom, but luckily I managed to restrain myself. One of the people I work with handed in her notice on Saturday - everyone is leaving Uberdrug! In the evening we all crashed at Nick and Adam's house and slept over - hence getting drunk. I wrote Nick some very poorly written smut - look at his journal to see it. Please bear in mind that this was written by a girl who had had only three hours sleep the previous night and (obviously) wasn't really all that awake.

Instead of spending Sunday sleeping like a sensible person, I decided to spend most of the day online. Before that, though, I finally got a new phone which I can actually text people from! Huzzah! Poke me on MSN if you want my new number - I don't want to write it up on here in case a scary bear/wolf/rhino/elephant gets hold of it and decides to stalk me and eat my arms. My mother dragged my into a shoe shop and made me buy some new shoes. I wanted to get a new pair of knee-high boots to replace my dead ones, but they were "too expensive" and so I'm going to have to go hunting elsewhere. Camden, anyone? I bought some scaggy non-descript "school shoes" for work because apparently my brothers school shoes are too scaggy for me to wear. Bah, I say! I went on Shards for a little while as Yuffie so she could make up with Seth - it was cute.

After that, I made four new albums! My music taste, as most people know, is weird. I go from scary metal to classical music in an instant. I also have a love for techno/trance music - something I get constantly mocked for, but I don't care! So yesterday I download two Kraftwerk albums ("The Man-Machine" and "Computer World"), a Three Doors Down album ("The Better Life") and a Vertical Horizon album ("Everything You Want"). I also copied you the Placebo album, so I can give it to you on Wednesday, oui?

Today I wandered down into Hoddesdon with my mother and went shoppping - if you can call it that. We were supposed to meet my mum's friend, but she didn't turn up so we decided to just go shopping. I bought three tee-shirts from Oxfam - a weird emoticon one, a jigsaw puzzle one and an Angel one. I think I'm going to give the latter to my brother because Angel is a magnificent poof.

So now I'm just sitting here listening to Kraftwerk and eating polos. Gosh, my life is interesting.

Sacha.
